GR Tettnanger

Non-returnable
The Tettnanger variety is a traditional and Noble hop originating from the Saazer class of hops and is mainly cultivated around the town of Tettnang on Lake Constance Germany. The unique combination of the favorable climate of Lake Constance and sandy clay soils from the Ice-age produces a very fine aroma. This variety has a good tolerance to plant diseases. Tettnanger is widely used in lager beer styles and is ideally suited for Pilseners. Tettnanger's pedigree consists of a traditional German landrace variety. Tettanger has recently been dubbed the "Secret Weapon" for Pils! We would agree with that.

Tettnanger has a wonderful aroma that can be considered as floral, spicey, fruity and hoppy. We love the blend of cedar, tobacco and stone fruit, like characteristics we get from our selections from grower Locher Hopfen!
