GR Tango

Tango is a new German variety originally known as 2011/02/04 and was breed at the Hüll Institute and is a daughter to Cascade and a male Hüll breeding line. Tango has advanced growing characteristics being resistant to Powdery Mildew and high resistance to hop Downy Mildew. It's an extremely easy hop to grow for farmers and its high yield and drought resistance assure this is a hop for the future! Tango was released in 2020 and is considered by Germans to be a special flavor hop!

We feel Tango is a new class of "dual-purpose" hops where very few hops can be used across multiple beer styles very well. Instead of just working well as Bittering and Aroma, Tango excels and showcases different characteristics on hot side and cold side. With its very fruity nature and high oil potential when used as a dry hop or any cold side application Tango showcases an amazing fruit medley of Passion Fruit, Citrus and Pineapple. Tango is very affordable for the flavor punch it adds to a beer. BUT when used on the hot side Tango showcases its roots as being a potential replacement for Hallertau Tradition and Perle. Its fruity characteristics are boiled off leaving a pleasant and balanced noble aroma and flavor that works well for Export/Dortmunder, Helles, Kolsch and Pils!

Alpha Acid: 7.5 - 11%

Beta Acid: 7.5 - 10%

Total Oils: 1.5 - 2.7%

Aroma: Citrus, Grapefruit, Passion Fruit, Pineapple, Hoppy and basic herbal spice

Beer Styles: IPA, WC Pils, Italian Pils, Export, Pils, Hellas.
