Straight out of Segal Ranch in the lower valley of Yakima, Anchovy is a newly released hop turning heads across the industry. Anchovy was named by the creative team at Fast Fashion Brewing of Matt Storm and Brian Strumke. Anchovy is the first of a new wave of "Counter Culture" hops that will be taking the industry by storm! John Segal and Martin Ramos the team that created this hop describe it as a good growing hop with little to no issues with disease and pests! They really love the way it picks and dries and was the first of now 3 hops they've released. One of their main focuses adjacent to other breeding programs is packability! If you can't pick it quick enough you can't savor the quality!

Featuring distinct notes of Watermelon Hard candies, Candy Neckless, a bit of raspberry and a lush forest of dank pine wrapping around those notes.

About the Grower

John and his family are fellow New Yorkers with Johns grandfather George starting their first farm in Malone, New York in 1941. Shortly after the family started another farm in the Yakima Valley of Washington. John's father, John Sr took over the family farming operations in 1950 and later on helped Chuck Zimmerman to develop everyone's favorite American Hop Cascade in 1970! In 2007 John Segal Jr took over the family's farm with the goal of working more directly with craft breweries and more recently smaller merchants like ourselves.
